The Monumento a La Peseta is an iconic structure located on the Costa del Sol. This monument, inaugurated in 1999, represents an old Spanish currency, the peseta, which was replaced by the euro in 2002. With a height of more than 20 metres and a weight of more than 150 tons, it is considered the largest monument in the world dedicated to a currency. Its location on a roundabout near the sea makes it an unmistakable landmark for visitors.
